PAVEMENT MILLING
Wharton Blacktop Paving, Inc. can do an expert
milling process to repair or
repave areas of damaged pavement. Milling an
asphalt surface is a method of
removing or skimming off a predetermined depth
of surface without having to
excavate the complete depth of the pavement.
This method can sometimes
result in a more cost efficient process of
repairing or repaving a surface area.
Many times only the surface of the
pavement is damaged and the base is still
intact. When this occurs, milling
is an ideal repairing method for the surface.
Damaged surface areas are
milled to the desired depth and the edges are saw
cut for a neat appearance.
New asphalt is then applied and compacted to the
surrounding surface area
height.
